As I have developed a passion for landscape photography, my travels have gone beyond Louisiana to the Gulf Coast. One popular getaway for those of us who live in New Orleans is coastal Mississippi, Alabama and Florida.

Despite the glare of hotels and condos, I’ve been able to view and photograph stars from the beach at Gulf Shores. And the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay offers stunning views of sunsets, stars and pelicans over the bay.
