North Louisiana

This region features some of the best freshwater fishing in the state at several clear water lakes nestled in beautiful pine forests. You can also take an easy hike to the highest point in Louisiana at Mount Driskill, elevation 535 feet. This area is also rich in Native American history with numerous ancient mounds including the World Heritage Site at Poverty Point.
